The goal of general movement therapy is to stimulate brain functions, increasing and refining attention and concentration skills.
In contrast, the movement therapy developments primarily applied in Hévíz, such as physiotherapy and targeted spinal exercises, aim for healing, regeneration, and prevention. These methods are especially important in the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases.

In individual and group sessions, patients learn from qualified professionals the important movements for their recovery, which they can later perform at home. The goal is to restore the damaged spine and joints, improve muscle strength, and correct posture.
Spinal exercises primarily aim to increase the range of motion of the spine and mobilize the neck and lower back. Successful results can be achieved in stretching shortened muscles due to poor posture or pain, strengthening the muscles around the back, abdomen, and hips, and improving coordination. Spinal exercises are always performed in unloaded positions with the help of a qualified physiotherapist. The movements are easy to learn and can later be performed at home.
Water therapy combines the effect of physical therapy with the healing and beneficial physical properties of water. Movements performed in water are less strenuous, making them suitable for people who find land-based exercises too strenuous.
Our Physiotherapy Publications
Terézia Varga and Viola Pap, our physiotherapists, debuted in 2012 with the book "Spinal Protection in Everyday Life," which is now in its 3rd edition. Thousands of copies sold demonstrate its success and the importance of the topic. The book has been updated externally and partially internally, but its essence remains unchanged. An additional chapter addresses the consequences of excessive use of smartphones and tablets, which is a growing concern. The book also introduces a unique opportunity to eliminate long-term back pain through special physiotherapy with the Redcord suspension system. A fantastic poster is included to help with regular home exercises.
As a follow-up to the written material and in response to continuous patient demand, an audio and video program was created to make independent exercise easier. The DVD and USB stick contain a targeted 40-minute spinal exercise program and a 15-minute stretching exercise series. The exercises can be safely performed at home, guaranteed by the fact that our own physiotherapists explain and demonstrate how each movement should be executed correctly.
