Gyógymasszázs
Gyógymasszázs

Massage is one of humanity's oldest healing methods. It consists of a series of learned movements and specific hand techniques. The exact origin of the name is not known, but it could derive from the Greek "massein" (to rub, knead), the French "massage," the Hebrew "mases," or the Arabic "mass." Its development was continuous throughout history, influenced by accumulating experience and medical discoveries. In Hungary, massage first appeared at the court of King Matthias (1443-1490), where it was performed by so-called "dögönyözők" without formal qualifications. During the Ottoman occupation, bath culture spread, along with the practice of massage.

In 19th-century Europe, the so-called Swedish era began. Swedish fencing master Henrich Ling (1776-1839) integrated massage into a system of gymnastics, laying the foundation for Swedish gymnastics and massage, which is now known as Swedish massage. In the first decades of the 20th century, alongside classical massage, specialized massage techniques were developed. Today, massage theory and practice continue to evolve, while maintaining its basic principles.

In our facility, we offer not only the therapeutic massage based on Swedish massage and disease-specific massage treatments, but also various alternative types of massage.

Disease-Specific Massages

Based on the experience we have accumulated over the years, we have integrated specific types of massage into our therapy. We placed great emphasis on muscle and joint changes caused by various diseases. The therapeutic massage, based on Swedish massage, is adjusted to the current condition of the patient and their disease (stage, surgery date, etc.), and we apply it to the appropriate muscle groups. In our institution, we effectively apply this therapy for the following conditions: SPA, TEP, congenital coxofemoral dislocation, lumboischialgia, coxarthrosis, cervicobrachialgia, and for SPA patients.

Refreshing and Regenerating Massage

A 35-minute refreshing massage and a 40-minute regenerating massage with hip and scapula mobilization. A medium-strength and intense conditioning massage that targets all the muscles in the body. The massage is performed with cream or oil, providing a soothing and refreshing experience. The effect on the body relieves stress and tension caused by problems, helping to promote the healthy functioning of the body. Effects: muscle relaxation, regeneration, stimulation, circulation-enhancing, and refreshing. It helps us regain the flexibility and resilience of our bodies.

Sliding Cupping Therapy - Back/Lower Back

Therapeutic cupping therapy is a vacuum massage based on the traditional Chinese cupping technique. Using small silicone cups, we massage and loosen the muscles, working on deeper muscle adhesions and knots that are difficult to treat by hand. During cupping, a vacuum is created, which causes the blood vessels in the treated area to expand, leading to increased blood flow; the circulation, metabolism, and oxygen supply to the muscles and internal organs in the treated area improve.

Trigger Point Massage

Trigger points are knots that form in our skeletal muscles or fascia (a network of connective tissue). They are not visible on the outside, but respond to pressure with pain, and the sensation often radiates to a specific area. With trigger point therapy, we can achieve long-term results by addressing the root cause of muscle tightness, leading to lasting improvement.
